In entertainment news, we took one look at the lines for PotC3 Saturday and decided maybe another time. Drat. On the plus side, I finally got around to seeing 'Casino Royale" in exchange. Now this is my kind of Bond. Cold, calculating, and dirty under the fingernails.
(Also my kind of M but hey, Judi Dench. Totally expected. And they chipped him! *dies* I'm sure M wishes they could neuter him as well...)
Otherwise, life continues here at Ch. Felidae, despite the continued mild heat-headache. Much work, some socialness, and the bike has been aired and oiled and taken out for a spin or three, so I don't have to regret that second helping of ribs. New Haven is a great place for casual cycling -- I can go to the grocery store (3mi each way) or the park (a nice 2.5 mi loop through East Rock, mostly in shade), or downtown (3mi rountrip) depending on my mood/needs, and there's just enough rise to the roads to give me a good workout without damaging my knees. And the patio at Moka is open! What better way to reward exercise than with a chilled mochachino?
I also resorted the apartment for summer, which basically means opening the door between my office and the hallway to create a breezeway, and moving the plants and comfy chairs out onto the sunporch. Tonight will be the ritual (I've been here a year! I have rituals!) lighting of the porch candles and opening of the savignon blanc. Yes, the excitement never ends around here, what can I say?
Oh, and because I'm aworkaholic moron masochist -- http://cosanostradamus.blogspot.com/
It's still new and not quite shiny, but hopefully it will be updated faster than my website for all the RETRIEVERS updates you might want...

Oh, and there are new e-mails: wren_sergei(at)comcast(dot)net (book- and convention-stuff) and dymk(at)comcast(dot)net (editing- and business-stuff). These replace the previous lycos addresses, if you were using them.
