Thankful....

Checking in from my sister's. Rain is tapping on the skylights, Max the Moron Ragdoll is purring on my lap, a shot of Macallan Fine Oak 15 has been offered, and I have a brand-new flatscreen tv with digital cable in front of me to play with. Go home? Why would I want to go home?
(oh, right. Pandora. Boomer. My own bed. Three pretty good reasons)
Thanksgiving was Thanksgiving -- three generations of siblings and cousins sitting down to just the right amount of food (after so many years we have it down to a science). And my mom made an extra pecan pie ALL FOR ME. Insane. I think we're going to have it for breakfast. Mmmmm. (ETA: we were 20 this year, down from an all-time high of 32 a few years back. Six were under fifteen, five were over sixty.)
I hope everyone had a good day (and Dia, that your nephew woke up and protected you from further craziness). We've decided to join in National Buy-Nothing Day tomorrow: the household will be sleeping in, and being Bad Consumers all day.
And, for those of you who liked the Helsinki Compaints Choir - a follow-up
