Actually, I have no idea what kind of president he would have made. If nothing else, however, he IS the "more sensitive idiot" New Orleans asked for. Right now, that's the highest praise I can give.

koimistress says, for every government official (elected or appointed) who shamed us, there were private citizens -- from every point along the influence scale! -- who went above and beyond 'because it was the right thing, the decent thing to do.
Some might say that's how it should be -- that the government should not be responsible for 'this sort of thing.' Fine. Then let's rethink that entire "Homeland Security" charter, hall we? because it seems to think that this is exactly the sort of thing the government should be involved in...
