Essay done, and sent off for Someone Else's Eyes to look over. Yay! and *thud*

I think I need to sit and stare vacantly at the t.v. for a few hours, now. Thankfully, it looks like SciFi is coming to the rescue with "Matthew Blackheart: Monster Smasher."

in other media news:

seen on a commercial:

All right, yeah, the intent was clear. But honestly, people. THINK before you okay the copy!

And ABC has ordered script outlines for America's Next Muppet, a reality-TV parody in which viewers get the chance to pick Kermit and Miss Piggy's next colleague, Variety reports. The series would borrow from such shows as American Idol and America's Next Top Model as judges consider several new characters to become a Muppet star. Clipped from a story at
http://www.startribune.com/stories/587/5683296.html

"AUSTIN, TEXAS - Former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay, R-Texas, appeared in court for the first time Friday to
answer the money-laundering and conspiracy charges against him ... DeLay's staff disclosed that he flew to Houston on
Thursday morning on a corporate jet owned by R.J. Reynolds, a longtime contributor that has flown him to Puerto Rico
and other destinations; they said the jet was "used in compliance with regulations."

The company, which has also given $17,000 to DeLay's legal defense fund, did not comment Friday."
