This morning I'm driving back from Long Island, and I see a warning sign: "congestion in lower Manhattan."
Yeah, I think. Yeah.
So I take the midtown tunnel instead... and come into the city on the stroke of 8:46, and the radio station I'm listening to goes to a moment of silence.
I drive down 47th Street, and see the firefighters outside their station, in full dress.
You heal, as best you can. You go on. You live.
You never forget.
