Ooops. Heh. Oh well.
Dec. 20th, 2003 08:18 pmYes, I have made too many cookies for
greeneyedkzin's party. Ooops. (At the original planning stage I thought I was on top of things. Turns out I was on top like Mt. Vesuvius was on top of Pompei...)
What can I say, I like to cook. And experiment. And feed people.
And Peter has encouraged that (and in the same swoop earned himself a coveted Good Present Giver award). He got me a year's subscription to a little quarterly magazine created for foodies. Nay, I mean created for Foodies. It's called The Art of Eating, and I fully expect I will have to take it out of
kefiraahava's luggage when she leaves the house on New Year's Day... And then remove it again from
marinarusalka's bag as _she_ leaves. And possibly remove it from
agamisu's hands as well.
(It's not a recipe magazine, although it has those.. it's about the places and the people and the styles of Good Food. This issue has an article about foods of Sicily, a bit on Japanese knives, cookbook reviews, and what they call "Notes and Resources" which is where to buy the best of what you need. I'm torn between wanting to tear through the 52 pages and needing to savor it slowly...)
