there is too much. I sum up.
Feb. 4th, 2009 08:47 amAnd lo, despite the snow, people showed up last night (including
0eris0 from New Haven, so take THAT, lazy New Yorkers!) and they were treated to three very fine readings, if I do say so myself -- Sue Lange read two SFnal bits, and proved she has a set of lungs on her (hee), Susan Wright read a bit from her not-even-off-the-press-yet urban fantasy, and I gave the first-ever-in-public sounding of THE VINEART WAR: FLESH & FIRE.
Nobody held their nose or left the room shaking their head sadly, so I guess it went over well. And an audience member who actually owns a small vineyard said it rang true. Yay me! Yay research!
Woke up with a bad sore throat and slight fever, tho. Suspect the post-deadline, post-Public Appearance mini-crud.
And now we are going to have breakfast, and then I will hit "send" on the manuscript, and then I am going back to bed.
