weekend wrapup
Oct. 19th, 2008 08:26 pmI am home. I am *splat* But it's a good splat...
Saturday was being meerkat-about-town with
neadods and
maureen_the_mad, neither of whom I get to see anywhere near enough. So that was lovely. Then I went over to a T-Mobile store where I got to play with my new phone (yes, I've made my choice) and then it was out to the wilds of New Jersey with M, for prime rib that couldn't be beat with
quarkwiz and her P. Woke at Eeek Ack Emma with two cats not my own cuddled at hip and toes, staggered about like a half-awake thing, and then headed out for a day of tailgating and GIANTS!
We got to the stadium around 8:30, set up shop, and partied with the rest of the regulars until it was time to go in for the game ( pause for the story of quarkwiz and the mimosas )
The seats were amazing -- lower level, around the 10 yard line, row 8. A perfect football day -- chilly, sunny, and just enough wind to make things interesting. The game was infuriating, exhilarating, amazing, and a hashmark in the Win column. All good. (and the peewees who got a chance to play at halftime were adorable, and clearly having the time of their lives, having a stadium full of people cheer them on).
( life was not without its share of drunks and idiots, however... )
Anyway. Am home. Am splat. Tomorrow the work thing starts up again.
