"Former White House aide I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby has been sentenced to 30 months in prison and fined $250,000 in the CIA leak case."

Anyone else thinking they liked it better when things like this were dealt with via a blindfold and a firing line? Okay, how about a blindfold and a twenty YEAR sentence? If he rolls over on his co-horts we can reduce it to fifteen and he'd be out in seven.



And now for the advice: when replying to an ad that specifies PART TIME, it's best not to state in your objective that you're looking for a full-time position. Makes the potential employer wonder why they should hire you, when you're just going to leave for the first 30-hour offer that comes along... *shakes head and deletes submitted resume*

In January of 2005 Toby Buckell posted a set of simple forms for people at his website to submit data about their novel advances order to put together a survey on what advances were being given out in the field of SF/F, in the interests of a greater understanding of the health (fiscal and otherwise) of our field.
