Is it feed a cold, or starve it?
No matter.
( There was garlic, so it's all good. )Anyway, am less in bed than on the bed, lapdesk on my lap and cats at knee and shoulder. Have been working on the chapter-by-chapter breakdown of
Retrievers 4. If my proposal is the soul of the story, the breakdown is the skeleton: what goes wheree, when, and how one part moves the other. This is actually, for me, the toughest part of writing a novel, and one that's not finished until the book goes off to the editor.
At some point during this process, I expect to discover what book 5 is going to be about, as well.
And somewhere in all this, my editor is telling me, I need to come up with a title. Ulp.
So far we have
STAYING DEAD (a ghost and a vow)
CURSE THE DARK (long-ago hatred reheated)
BRING IT ON (family love and conflict)
In this book? The price and pain of responsibility, I think. Losing the good fight; winning the dirty war.
If anyone comes up with some brilliant quote, as per the series style (if you don't know how the titles are introduced by now, never mind...), feel free to sing out. I find ways to reward creativity...
