Went out last night to celebrate the book deal in full style, specifically One If By Land, Two If By Sea.
There are some folk who have posted bad reviews of this restauant. I don't know where they were eating, but from the bartender to the waiter to the maitre'd, everyone was fabulous. And the food? OMG. To. Die. For. (even if my companion did scarf that last bite of the caviar) Duck and fois gras terrine, followed by saddle of rabbit with vanilla-infused couscous. Yuuuuum. Dessrt was a molten chocolate fondant with praline ice cream tht I wanted to finish but could not. Overload of culinary pleasure. And the alcohol? *thud* The single malt before dinner was excellent. The wine with dinner? Ch. Palmer. Nuff said. (waits for Tina to *thud* from jealousy.) The older-than-I-am single malt with dessert? *swoon*

And the restaurant is as beautiful as they say, from the dual fireplaces by the bar to the fresh roses on the table. When you have something special to celebrate...



(just don't do as another table near us did, and go pre-theater. This is not a place to be rushed through on your way to elsewhere)
