Three Things

paleologa is right, I should have my own cooking show. Call it "Kitchen Improvisation," since I rarely know what I'm cooking until I'm halfway through. Tonight, chicken stir-fry with star anise and garlic. Veggies are softened but still have a crunch, and the flavor is tangy-sweet. I like. Could probably have used cashews or peanuts, but I didn't have either in the house.
2. The only excuse for swimming is to not drown. People who swim for exercise baffle me. Yes, I use a treadmill. But I can listen to music, or talk to someone, or watch television, or work through a story while I do it. Swimming is pretty much makin' like a shark, only without the fun chomping on unsuspecting swimmers part.
note: water volleyball is different. You don't have to swim, you just have to be in the water. Likewise snorkeling. If I could snorkel without swimming, I'd do it (I managed it once, thanks to a well-placed overhang of beach).
3. If I see/hear one more ad for Zales or Kay Jewelers, I will kill someone. Is it Tuesday yet?
oh, and 4. Technology is a beautiful thing. I highly approve.
