So... I need to have a paid account, before I can insert images/photos the way I do on LJ? Or is it just me DW doesn't like?

Still learning my way around here, not quite sure of the fussy bits yet.

I had the impression that DW didn't do images at all, but haven't really hunted through the help. I like to put images on Flickr, and then link to them from Twitter, LJ, DW, Facebook...and whatever comes next. Got my fingers crossed that Flickr doesn't go down in flames!

well, foo. I liked adding photos occasionally, via LJ. hrm.

And Flickr is not allowed to do anything other than continue. I have too much STUFF there already.

They're in the process of adding a photo-hosting thing, but it's email-only and very very very beta right now, if it's even available. (Apparently building a Scrapbook-esque thing is immensely complicated.) For now, off-site linking/embedding is the way.

Well, you could still embed from LJ's scrapbook. Last I checked they don't forbid offsite linking. But I, too, eagerly await the DW version. I could swear I saw a post about how it was almost ready recently, but I tried to find it last night for verification when I commented and couldn't. Perhaps I imagined it.
