Back from the Cross-Genre Abuse Group wherein I did not, as expected, get my head handed to me. Some fingers and my left foot, yes, but not my head.
This is good, as I am going to need the brain to do the needed revisions.
It's a fun new project, working in a slightly different genre, and a very different structure. Muscles stretching, yes.
Also, news. Soon. I hope.
Two bits of NYC news:
1. Tourists overrun Midtown! Yes, the Lighting of the Big Damned Tree was tonight. And yes, I was walking rght through that neighborhood (Dia, I waved as I went past your office). Gahh. I may not work in Manhattan any longer, but I still walk like a New Yorker, and these damned tourists were In. My. Way.
2. At 12:01 tomorrow morning, the taxi fares are going up on the per-moment costs. So, basically, if you're stuck in traffic, it's gonna kill you. MTA fares are stayng put, for the moment. Save a city; take a subway. (actually, they report that this increase will go directly to the drivers, not the medallion holders. Okay, I can live with that...)
