random updates
Ever have one of those weeks where you feel like you've been treading water, then look back and realize you're halfway across the lake? Of course, as was pointed out to me right after I had that realization, that's usually when the lake-monster grabs you by the leg and chomps you in two. *sigh*
swimming things:
-The draft for Grail Quest 3 is done, yay!
-(Almost) all my reader's comments are back for BRING IT ON, whcih means I can dive back into Wren, Sergei and PB's various traumas, yay!
-I've gotten a good handle on Retreivers4's direction, and committed the details to text.
-A new, out-of-genre proposal has taken shape in my brain and been committed to text, awaiting agent-type review.
-A Revelation has been made on another project, that may make significant progress on the bits and pieces all falling together neatly this time.
-More progress made on the death-by-inches 'water' story begun here oh so long ago. Problem was, it couldn't decide if it wanted to be set in the Long Ago and Far Away-time, or a more historically recent period. Now we know. Or rather, now I know. Y'all will still have to wait to find out.
-Oh, and I also did quarterly taxes stuff, and massive amounts of paperwork, and other Life-related details which are boring but needful...
Still to be swum:
-Put Bring it On to bed!

oh, and this amused me greatly, from a discussion yesterday:
"cats are perfect sloth-incubators"
led to
"Sex is like dancing. You can do it to burn calories, or to praise your gods. Or both, actually. But doing it without joy just makes you a shmuck."
which led to
"God's an external bastard. That seems more fair, somehow."
All in one conversation, honest!
