Monday morning

Noon weather update, via the Weather Channel desktop icon -- it's 87 degrees here. "Feels like" 89 degrees.



It's still hot.

I know, you were all just dying to know that.

*wilts*

It's humid, too, to add insult to injury.

The felines are all sprawled half-asleep in various locations on the hardwood floors, even the younguns too warm to do any of their usual catch-me-if-you-can games, and Ozzy is kvetching like an old man forced to miss his canasta game for a prostate exam.

90 degrees. "feels like" 93. Then, in my NSGDHO, it IS 93 degrees.

On the other hand, has gotten noticably darker in the past five minutes. Wind's picking up. And there are prettybright flashes in the sky, in the distance. *coaxes thunderstorm a little closer...*


News update: already getting reports from around the state: 1" hail, at least one lightning-to-human injury, and lots of wires down. Yah youbetcha I'm working off battery power right now.


And how appropriate that (after spending the morning finishing up a proposal for another project) I'm now working on the next Retriever book...
